Prof. Sugimoto received the 2022 Academic Award from the Crystallographic Society of Japan. The award was given in recognition of the improved performance of the structural analysis system using high-brilliance X-rays and the research on new inorganic compounds with functional properties that utilize the system.
Title of the award: "Research on the Improvement of Functionality of Synchrotron Radiation Diffraction System and the Development of Functional Materials"
The award ceremony and acceptance speech held at the Annual Meeting of the Crystallographic Society of Japan to be held at Kwansei Gakuin University on November 26-27, 2022.
